Home to the BBC1 series Turn Back Time 'The High Street' filmed in 2010. A group of shop-keeping families are transported back to the birth of the high street in the 1870's and propelled through a century of change, right up to the modern era and the 1970's.

The series documents how changes in lifestyle and the way consumers shop has impacted on the high street. But today, facing the challenges, small independent businesses are settling in the shops in Shepton Mallet, revitalising the heart of the town once again.
